Job Description
Our client, a longstanding family run engineering entity in Sidwell (Port Elizabeth), is looking to appoint a Workshop Technician.

NO JHB, CAPE TOWN, DURBAN OR EAST LONDON candidates will be considered for this role. PE and surrounding areas candidates ONLY.

This role is suited to a practical, multi-skilled individual who is comfortable working in a mechanical workshop environment and enjoys a variety of tasks including fabrication, welding, and finishing work.

The ideal candidate is someone with prior workshop experience who is looking to build a long-term career within a stable and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Perform general workshop duties including fabrication and assembly.
β€’ Welding of components (primarily stainless steel).
β€’ Polishing and finishing of stainless-steel products.
β€’ Assist with mechanical work and maintenance tasks.
β€’ Operate workshop tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
β€’ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
β€’ Support the team with various ad hoc technical and manual tasks.

Minimum Requirements:
β€’ Valid Driver’s License
β€’ Proven welding experience
β€’ Previous experience working in a mechanical/workshop environment
β€’ Hands-on, practical skillset with the ability to work with tools and machinery
β€’ Physically fit and capable of manual work
