A leading fabrication and manufacturing company based in **Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA** is seeking motivated and mechanically inclined individuals to join their team as Apprentice Welders specializing in structural steel. This apprenticeship program offers a comprehensive blend of on-the-job training and formal instruction, providing a clear pathway to becoming a certified and highly skilled structural welder. You will learn to interpret blueprints, prepare materials, and perform various welding techniques to create robust and reliable structures.

What You Will Learn and Do:
Master various welding processes, including Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and TIG (GTAW), with a focus on structural applications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications. Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting. Assemble and fit structural components according to specifications. Perform high-quality welds on carbon steel and other structural metals. Ensure welds meet strict quality and safety standards. Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently. Participate in classroom instruction and practical workshops to develop theoretical knowledge. Work collaboratively with experienced welders and supervisors on various projects. Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
