Team Leader

We are looking for a highly energetic professional to join our Cape Town team as a Plumbing Team Leader. This role requires a dynamic individual who can combine technical expertise with leadership, sales ability, and customer satisfaction.

The Team Leader identifies customer needs and offers the best possible solution to ensure profitability for jobs assigned by the Fleet Manager. You will drive sales, maintain client relationships, remain updated on product knowledge, and lead your assistant with professionalism and accountability.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Secure plumbing sales and meet/exceed monthly targets.

· Quote clients for required work and additional scopes.

· Conduct primary assessments to diagnose plumbing problems.

· Delegate tasks effectively to assistants.

· Complete job cards accurately for all site work.

· Handle invoicing and process payments (Card, Cash, EFT).

· Work according to company standards, policies, and procedures.

· Perform drain unblocking and the use of specialised equipment for underground pipe locations and endoscopic inspections.

· Install geysers with relevant pipework.

· Operate high-pressure jetting machines, rooter machines, jetting trailers, and miller machines.

· Conduct stock take on vehicle tools, equipment, and machinery.

· Educate assistants through detailed explanations and demonstrations.

· Ensure efficient reporting, flow of information, and process improvement.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate must have the following skills and expertise:

· Red Seal Certification / PIRB Registration – ability to issue Certificates of Compliance.

· Specialised Pipe relining

· Water Management Expertise – greywater recycling, rainwater harvesting, specialised gas leak detection.

· Advanced Geyser Installation – solar geysers, heat pumps, high-pressure systems.

· Drainage & Stormwater Systems with experience in using highly specialised machinery for below-ground drainage, sewer line maintenance, flood prevention.

· Sanitation Systems – advanced soil waste, vent systems, and industrial sanitation projects.

· Compliance Documentation – defensible technical reporting aligned with PIRB and insurance standards

· Proven plumbing experience with technical and sales ability.

· Strong leadership skills to guide assistants positively.

· Commitment to continuous learning and product knowledge.

· Ability to develop creative plumbing/sales techniques.

· Customer-focused with initiative in satisfaction and service improvement.
