Our client is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Driver Salesman to deliver and sell bakery products safely, on time, and in full across an assigned route. This role combines professional driving with sales, customer service, stock accountability, and route management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while representing a trusted brand.

You'll play an important role in ensuring products reach customers efficiently, identifying new sales opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting business growth through excellent service and operational discipline.

What You'll Do
• Deliver bakery products safely and on schedule.
• Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify new customers and sales opportunities along your route.
• Ensure timely deliveries and communicate any delays.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and care for company assets.
• Complete daily stock counts before departure and reconcile stock accurately.
• Collect customer payments and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation for every delivery.
• Manage returns and maintain accurate basket control.
• Report competitor activity and market feedback.
• Supervise and support the Van Assistant while ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

What You Bring
• National Senior Certificate (Matric).
• Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Minimum 1–2 years' professional Code 10 driving experience.
• Previous sales or route sales experience will be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Good numerical ability and cash-handling skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules.
