Job Description
Reporting to the relevant manager, the Shopping Centre Cleaner will clean kitchen and breakroom areas and dust and wipe all surfaces at an established business in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities
• Follow a daily cleaning schedule and checklist to ensure all assigned tasks are completed to the required standard within the allocated time.
• Dust and wipe all surfaces including desks, windowsills, ledges, picture frames, and skirting boards using appropriate cleaning cloths.
• Clean and sanitise all bathroom facilities including toilets, urinals, basins, and mirrors, and replenish soap and paper supplies.
• Clean kitchen and breakroom areas including countertops, sinks, microwaves, and refrigerators, ensuring communal areas are hygienic.
• Empty waste bins and recycling containers from all designated areas, replace bin liners, and dispose of refuse correctly.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards such as broken fixtures, leaking taps, or slippery floors to the supervisor promptly.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture thoroughly, spot-clean stains as they occur, and arrange for periodic deep cleaning.

Requirements
• A strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and no task is overlooked or left incomplete.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods while performing cleaning duties.
• Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial role is required to demonstrate reliability and work ethic.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and correct use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective gear to work safely.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential, as cleaning schedules must be adhered to and clients depend on consistent service.
