Long Distance Driver - Durban

Requirements:
• Matric
• Preferably 2 official languages and well spoken
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 14 and PRDP ), License 2 years and older
• 3- 5 Years of driving experience as a Shunter/Long Distance driver
• Volvo and Scania experience is required
• No criminal record
• Neat and well-groomed (PPE must be clean and worn at all times)

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate logs of fuel and mileage, and maintain necessary documentation for cargo and hours of service.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, managers, and customers to provide accurate arrival times and report any delays or accidents.
• Transport cargo across long distances, often interstate, typically staying on the road for several days.
• Directing while reversing, ensuring it is safe to do so.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle, both internally and externally.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment used are kept clean and stored as required.
• Reporting any losses, damages, and discrepancies about cargo, equipment, and paperwork.
• Greeting and interacting with clients in a polite and pleasant manner.

Pay: From R17 470,38 per month
