Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Commercial Cleaner to join their team in **Johannesburg, Gauteng, ZA**. This role is vital in maintaining impeccable hygiene standards across various commercial properties, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for clients and employees. The Senior Commercial Cleaner will be responsible for leading cleaning operations, training junior staff, and ensuring adherence to the highest sanitation protocols. Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive cleaning duties in commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and kitchens. Implement and supervise detailed cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including industrial vacuums, floor polishers, and pressure washers. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ordering replacements as needed while adhering to safety regulations for storage and use. Train and mentor new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment. Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure quality and identify any areas requiring re-cleaning or attention. Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and waste disposal. Develop and maintain effective communication with building management and clients regarding cleaning services and schedules. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a commercial cleaner, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or supervisory role. Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in commercial environments. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to lead and train a small team. Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks. Good communication and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be an advantage for site visits.
