Our client, a leading player in the industrial manufacturing sector, is offering a fantastic opportunity for aspiring individuals to become Apprentice Electricians. This program is designed to provide comprehensive on-the-job training and theoretical education, equipping you with the skills and knowledge required to excel in industrial electrical maintenance. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a complex manufacturing environment. This apprenticeship is based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA , and requires a commitment to hands-on learning and development.

Program Overview:
Participate in a structured apprenticeship program lasting typically 3-4 years, combining practical experience with formal technical instruction. Assist qualified electricians in performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and electrical systems. Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Gain experience in installing and connecting electrical equipment, including motors, control panels, lighting, and power distribution systems. Develop skills in diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment. Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures related to electrical work in an industrial setting. Work with various types of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, single and three-phase power, and control systems. Participate in workshops and theoretical training sessions at an accredited technical college. Contribute to preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability. Develop problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
Minimum of a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with passes in Mathematics and Physical Science. A strong interest in electrical work and mechanical systems. Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work safely and follow instructions accurately. Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required. Willingness to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship and associated studies. Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa. A genuine desire to learn and develop a career in the electrical trade.
