Introduction

A welder is a skilled professional responsible for assembling, repairing, and fabricating metal parts and structures using specialized high-heat machinery (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding). They interpret technical blueprints, cut and prepare materials, monitor, and adjust welding equipment to ensure precise, durable, and safe joints.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Blueprint Interpretation: Study and understand technical drawings, sketches, and specifications for projects.
• Metal Preparation: Cut, shape, and smooth metal components using torches, plasma cutters, or saws.
• Welding Operations: Join metal parts using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) to meet structural specifications.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect completed welds for flaws, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Monitor, clean, and repair welding machinery and tools to ensure proper functionality.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing protective gear, to prevent overheating, fire, or injury.
