Job Description
A Company is seeking a high-precision performing coded aluminum welding on automotive components and assemblies that will ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, safety regulations, and approved welding procedures.

3 years Coded aluminum welding experience

Red Seal preferably …or welding certificate, experience can supersede this

Motor industry/manufacturing

Heidelberg must reside in area, Boksburg, Kempton Germiston, .....

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out coded aluminium welding using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes
• Weld automotive components such as chassis parts, body panels, engine components, brackets, frames, and sub-assemblies
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, WPS, and welding symbols
• Prepare aluminium materials through cutting, cleaning, jigging, and fitting
• Ensure welds meet automotive quality standards and dimensional tolerances
• Conduct visual inspections and assist with NDT testing where required
• Maintain welding machines, jigs, fixtures, and tools
• Adhere strictly to OEM, ISO/TS 16949 / IATF 16949, and health & safety standards
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams

Minimum Requirements
• Certified / Coded Aluminium Welder (TIG and/or MIG)
• Proven experience in the motor or automotive manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of aluminium alloys used in automotive production
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and high-volume production
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• High attention to detail and quality

Preferred / Advantageous
• Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
• Experience with robot-assisted or jig-based welding
• Trade Test / Red Seal
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality systems
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime
