Job Description
Introduction

We are a Wholesale and Retail company stocking homeware items, makeup, jewellery, and other accessories.

We require a strong, reliable and energetic security guard to join our team. The successful person will be responsible for patrolling store premises, responding to incidents like shoplifting or emergencies, providing customer service and assistance, enforcing store policies, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Greet incoming customers and staff
• Checking of customers parcels at exit points
• Checking and recording of all incoming and outgoing stock
• Checking of delivery notes
• Checking customer purchases against the till slips
• Searching of staff when entering and exiting the premises
• Access control
• Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence or rules and safety violations
• Inspect the store and check for irregularities
• Be a visible deterrent to crime
• Identifying suspicious behaviour
• Reporting any irregularities
• Monitoring access to property
• Taking action in emergency situations

Desired Experience & Qualification

-Clear criminal record

- Matric

- Minimum of 4-5 years experience as a security guard/officer

- Experience in a Retail environment advantageous

- Good communication skills

- Must be fit and in good physical condition

- Be able to work retail hours and weekends (hours are from 8h30-17h00), working 6 days a week with 1 off day per week

- Must be able rotate sites (Amalgam and Crown Mines area’s)

- valid PSIRA accreditation

- Contactable references

- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual

- Energetic
