About the Role

Our client, a specialized automotive workshop in Pretoria , is looking for a skilled Automotive Electrician to diagnose and repair complex electrical systems in vehicles. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of automotive electrical components, wiring harnesses, and diagnostic software. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, and advanced electronic control modules. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, starting, and charging systems. Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and oscilloscopes to identify and rectify complex electrical issues. Perform diagnostic tests on batteries, alternators, and starter motors, recommending necessary replacements or repairs. Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a similar specialized role. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, including CAN bus systems and electronic control units (ECUs). Proficiency with diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and schematics. Relevant trade certifications or qualifications in automotive electrical systems are highly desirable.
