My client is a global manufacturer of plastic & aluminium closures

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description
• Repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical and production equipment
• Installation of control panels and electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Maintaining machines as per service schedules defined in the CMMS and OEM Manuals
• Troubleshooting control circuit faults on production equipment
• Analysing equipment breakdowns and recording RCA info, on job cards
• Modifications (approved) of plant equipment to keep production lines running at an optimum
• Rebuild and refurbish machines as and when required
• Maintain safety and electrical / electronic specifications of equipment by conducting routine safety checks
• Quality workmanship on breakdowns and planned work to prevent repeat failures
• Prioritize breakdown work in line with business demands

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications
• Matric, N3 certificate or equivalent plus a valid Millwright Trade Qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry as a qualified Millwright

Skills
• Knowledge of injection moulding machines (Engel, Netstal, Arburg) or similar technologies
• Knowledge of compression moulding machines (SACMI technology or similar)
• Practical experience in fault finding, industrial electronics, variable speed drives, servo motors, PLC controls, pneumatics & Advanced hydraulics systems, interpret and read electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
• Mechanical fitting skills

R300 000 – R350 000 CTC p/a
