Tasks And Responsibilities

Must have worked in a Corrugated packaging line
Proven experience in managing a team
A team leader as well as a team player who can lead and sufficiently support management in day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will be efficient and customer service focused.

Responsibilities
• Oversee operations
• Train and support staff
• Order and manage inventory
• Manage team first to ensure that the production line‑up is followed as provided by the Production Planner, secondly that the daily throughput requirements are met.
• Contribute to and monitor operational procedures, working practices and team performance
• Monitor team to ensure processes and procedures always remain in line with business/brand standards
• Plan, resource and organise the team to meet expected levels of customer demand
• Actively support team members to maximize potential
• Supervise the delivery of a quality service that supports overall business objectives
• Collaborate with quality control, ink supplier, services, and other staff for effective production of work.
• Ensure that good discipline is maintained by actioning misconduct and ensuring the relevant paperwork is completed and submitted to HR.
• Constantly work to minimize waste, setup time and to maximize efficiency/performance.
• Identify and investigate issues inline and problem‑solve these issues
• Ensure that the machines operate at maximum efficiency by monitoring throughput speeds.
• Monitor the sequential job preparation by operators to reduce setup time.
• Monitor the stock requirements of the Works Order, this will entail issuing of raw material, receipting of finished product, and accounting for waste.
• Ensure good production flow, considering the various stages, from overtime forms, raw materials, tooling, manufacturing, palletization, baling of waste, etc.

Basic Requirements
• Understand own supervisory role in motivating team to work according to business code and values to achieve business targets
• Knowledge of financial operations of business
• Must be knowledgeable of standard business operating procedures
• Must know how to effectively organise and coordinate a team to provide the required level of service to meet customer demand
• Customer service focused
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervisory role within packaging
