Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Cleaning Supervisor to lead their cleaning and sanitation team in **Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA**. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cleaning protocols, effective team leadership skills, and a commitment to quality service. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct the daily activities of the cleaning staff. Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are serviced efficiently. Inspect work performed by cleaning staff to ensure quality standards are met. Train new cleaning personnel on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment. Monitor and manage cleaning supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order and used safely. Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or client complaints promptly and professionally. Enforce company policies and safety regulations among the cleaning team. Conduct regular safety briefings and promote a safety-conscious work environment. Maintain records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, and supply usage. Collaborate with facility managers to ensure cleaning services meet specific site requirements. Promote a positive and supportive work environment for the cleaning team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning or janitorial industry. Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify and resolve operational issues effectively. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a cleaning environment. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks as needed and to stand/walk for extended periods. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Experience with specialized cleaning techniques (e.g., floor care, high-reach cleaning) is a plus.
