Job Description
A Company is seeking a high-precision performing coded aluminum welding on automotive components and assemblies that will ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, safety regulations, and approved welding procedures.

3 years Coded aluminum welding experience

Red Seal preferably …or welding certificate, experience can supersede this

Motor industry/manufacturing

Heidelberg must reside in area, Boksburg, Kempton Germiston, .....

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Carry out coded aluminium welding using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes
β€’ Weld automotive components such as chassis parts, body panels, engine components, brackets, frames, and sub-assemblies
β€’ Read and interpret engineering drawings, WPS, and welding symbols
β€’ Prepare aluminium materials through cutting, cleaning, jigging, and fitting
β€’ Ensure welds meet automotive quality standards and dimensional tolerances
β€’ Conduct visual inspections and assist with NDT testing where required
β€’ Maintain welding machines, jigs, fixtures, and tools
β€’ Adhere strictly to OEM, ISO/TS 16949 / IATF 16949, and health & safety standards
β€’ Complete production and quality documentation accurately
β€’ Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams

Minimum Requirements
β€’ Certified / Coded Aluminium Welder (TIG and/or MIG)
β€’ Proven experience in the motor or automotive manufacturing industry
β€’ Strong understanding of aluminium alloys used in automotive production
β€’ Ability to work with tight tolerances and high-volume production
β€’ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
β€’ High attention to detail and quality

Preferred / Advantageous
β€’ Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
β€’ Experience with robot-assisted or jig-based welding
β€’ Trade Test / Red Seal
β€’ Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality systems
β€’ Willingness to work shifts and overtime
