Job Description
Qualifications and experience required:
• Trade Test Certificate as an artisan.
• A valid Code C1 driver’s licence with Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• One to two years’ relevant experience.

Attributes and competencies attached to the position:
• Must be physically fit and able-bodied.

Special conditions attached to the position:
• Required to work in all weather conditions.
• Required to be on standby.
• Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.

Job purpose:
• Co-ordinating and controlling the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialised tasks/activities associated with the installation, maintenance and repair to water reticulation mains, municipal plumbing and meters, including monitoring and correcting the productivity and performance outputs of support personnel, and attending to routine general administration. Recording requirements to ensure downtime and disruptions is minimised contributing positively towards sustaining acceptable service delivery standards.
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
