Job Description
Introduction

Our client is urgently looking for the expertise of a Qualified Electrician to join their Cold Store. The ideal candidate needs to have a technical problem-solving approach and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
β€’ Effective implementation & execution of a preventative maintenance program.
β€’ Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and specifications.
β€’ Supervise and allocate work to assistant based on operational requirements.
β€’ Manage the availability and effective use of tools and equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
β€’ Evaluate and measure productivity and quality work of subordinates.
β€’ Co-ordinate and control critical electrical parts and accessories to ensure sufficient availability, effective application and minimum wastage.
β€’ Minimize risk through maintaining and monitoring security measures required to protect company assets and employees.
β€’ Ensure work is done according to safe working procedures and the OHS act
β€’ Identify potential risk related to area of responsibility and rectify immediately within given guidelines.
β€’ Electrical maintenance, upkeep panels, testing motors.

Desired Experience & Qualification
β€’ Minimum N3 Electrical Certificate
β€’ Electrical Trade Test as Electrician
β€’ Certified – Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems.
β€’ Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience.
β€’ Willing to work overtime and perform standby duties
β€’ Good interpersonal skills
β€’ Wireman`s License highly advantageous
β€’ Ammonia registration highly advantageous
