To perform maintenance on all median streetlights, mast lights, electrical and mechanical equipment, and buildings to ensure all such equipment and buildings are always fully functional. To ensure that maintenance that is performed complies with the applicable industry standards and ensure that the company meets its contractual obligations. Perform record keeping of such maintenance and to report any serious and malicious damage to any electrical and mechanical equipment or buildings to the head of the department

• *Qualifications And Skills

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
• Grade 12
• Qualified Artisan: Electrical/Mechanical -Red Seal
• Valid Unendorsed Code 10 Drivers License (PDP)
• At least 3 years related experience
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & oral)
• Expert knowledge of the Electrical installations
• Expert Knowledge of Generators and UPS's
• Interpersonal Relationship Skills
• Self Management
• Basic Computer Literacy Skills
• The work environment characteristics are those encountered in a typical toll plaza environment (working in the office ,inside, outside and on top buildings tunnels, and services pits).
• The work environment also requires working on a national highway
• The physical demands are typical to those of performing maintenance and will also require the technician to climb ladders and work on an arial platforms to while performing maintenance.
• The Technician must be competent and capable to drive a motor vehicle and must truck on public roads.
• A regular amount of overtime and standby duties must be performed
• *Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Conduct and report daily , weekly , and monthly inspections of all electrical and mechanical equipment and buildings at the Plazas and on the median streetlights and masts for which the Technician is responsible.
• Repair all malfunction equipment and buildings as per the maintenance Manual and Procedures.
• Report all Incidents in the prescribed manner.
• Ensure tools are kept in a good and clean working order
• Ensure that all healthy, safety and security policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure that all equipment is in a good working order to ensure maximum uptime.
• Supervise work done at Plazas/median lights, mast lights and traffic lights by subcontractors to ensure:
• Work is performed according to standard and specification.
• Quality of work is in line with the requirements
• Site is left neat and clean
• Compliance with health and safety legislation and policies and procedures (Authority to instruct/refuse subcontractor access in cases of sub-standard work and non-compliance with policies and procedures at the Plazas)
• To perform overtime and standby duties as required
