Our client, a leading supplier of food and technical produts to ships and other vessels in the Cape Town Harbour, is looking to appoint a hardworking and professional Code 10 Delivery Driverr to join their team in Montague Gardens. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the Code 10 Driver’s functions to ensure that the requirements are met. The successful person will be able to communicate with customers and carry out a positive image of the company to its client base. The person must know his way around on the roads of the Cape Penisula and must be able to do storeman duties in a warehouse environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
β€’ Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults
β€’ Loading and off-loading of various cargo
β€’ Assisting the Storeman with duties in the warehouse
β€’ Liaise in a professional manner with customers when deliveries are made.
β€’ Deliveries & collections to the Greater Cape Town Areas
β€’ Ensure correctness of goods delivered / collected

Ensure the safety of other road users
β€’ Strictly ensure adherence to National Road Traffic Act
β€’ Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road
β€’ Willing to work flexi time & Over time
β€’ Ensure cleanliness of Company Vehicles
β€’ Assist with general warehouse functions – Receiving, Picking, Packing, maintenance, etc

Desired Experience & Qualification

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
β€’ Must have a valid, code 10 License
β€’ Must have own car
β€’ Forklift license will be a benefit
β€’ Motivated and career orientated
β€’ Good communication skills, (speak, read and write English)
β€’ Prepared to work flex/overtime when required
β€’ Must be in good health
β€’ Hands on practical approach to the job
β€’ Minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
β€’ One year experience in storement duties in a warehouse
β€’ Great customer skills to maintain good customer relations

Package & Remuneration
