Job Description
A well-established electrical contractor specialising in solar PV installations for commercial clients is looking for a hands-on Installation Electrician with a valid Wireman’s Licence to join their growing team. The company delivers high-profile solar and electrical projects for major clients and is looking for someone practical, reliable, and able to lead work on-site while still being actively involved in installations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on-site, leading by example, and ensuring high-quality electrical and solar installations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on solar electrician who leads from the front, maintains strong quality standards, and represents the company professionally when working with clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform solar PV and electrical installations on commercial sites.
• Inspect completed installations, conduct system testing, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) where required.
• Lead installation teams on-site and ensure work is completed to high-quality and safety standards.
• Liaise with clients on-site to assess needs and provide professional guidance.
• Assist with quotations, job cards, and project coordination where required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to installations and testing.
• Ensure installations comply with SANS regulations and electrical safety standards.

Minimum Requirements
• Valid Wireman’s Licence (newly registered candidates will be considered).
• Trade-tested Electrician qualification.
• At least 5 years of strong hands-on experience with solar PV installations.
• Proven ability to inspect installations, test systems, and issue COCs.
• Ability to work independently and lead installation teams on-site.
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable dealing with clients.
• Computer literate (basic reporting, job documentation, and quotations).
• Willingness to be actively involved in installation work, not only supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to R50 000,00 per month

• Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
