Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client in the Packaging Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Electrician to join their team in the Western Cape.

Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, systems, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Diagnose electrical problems using various testing devices and provide appropriate solutions.
• Handle wiring, conduit, and cabling for new installations and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to determine project scope, timeline, and requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and make appropriate recommendations.
• Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and effective solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and completed tasks.
• Install and maintain lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
• Assist in the selection and procurement of materials and supplies needed for electrical projects.
• Coordinate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers or carpenters, to ensure electrical work is integrated seamlessly. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant technical training.
• Valid electrical license or certification.
• Proven experience working as an electrician, preferably in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to use electrical and hand tools, as well as testing devices safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in project management or leadership roles.
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical systems.
• Additional certifications or specialized training in specific areas of electrical work (e.g., solar panels, data cabling, industrial machinery).
