We are looking for cleaners to work at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria, Gauteng. This is a full-time job where you will help keep the hospital clean and safe for patients, visitors, and staff.

What the job is

You will clean different areas of the hospital, like wards, corridors, and kitchens. You will also handle waste and keep the environment hygienic. The job includes working shifts, weekends,
and public holidays.

- Clean floors, walls, windows, doors, and furniture.

- Remove litter and waste following hospital rules.

- Clean refrigerators, microwaves, and other equipment.

- Wash dishes and utensils in wards.

- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.

- Clean up spills quickly to prevent accidents.

- Refill supplies like soap and toilet paper.

- Collect and deliver patient meals and prepare tea.

- Handle clean linen and complete daily checklists.

- Report any problems or hazards to your supervisor.

- Follow infection control and safety rules.

What you need

- Grade 10 (Matric is not required but is a plus).

- Experience in cleaning, especially in a hospital, is helpful but not required.

- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

- Good communication skills.
