Job Description
Are you experienced in managing packing operations within a fast-paced production environment? We’re looking for a proactive Shift Operator – Packing to lead shift-wise packaging and dispatch activities, ensuring operational efficiency, quality compliance, and seamless coordination across teams.

Role Purpose
To manage all packing activities during assigned shifts, ensuring timely and accurate execution of packaging and dispatch processes. The role is key to maintaining adherence to SOPs and industry standards (ISO, BRC), coordinating shift staff, and maintaining accurate reporting to support production and customer delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Shift-wise Packing & Dispatch
• Execute daily packing and dispatch plans in sync with production flow
• Meet shift-wise and weekly packing targets

Process Compliance
• Adhere to SOPs, ISO, BRC, and GMP standards
• Ensure proper handling and storage of packaging materials

Team Coordination
• Allocate workers across packing machines and shifts
• Train staff on packaging, dispatch, and safety protocols

Customer Communication
• Support resolution of packing-related customer concerns
• Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of all outgoing goods

Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain daily packing records
• Submit shift-wise production reports to management

Quality Control
• Ensure final packaged products meet presentation and quality standards
• Report any quality issues to the QA team promptly

Key Interactions
Internal:
• Head of Packing, Production, QA/QC, Dispatch, HR
• Coordination with Printing, Slitting, and Lamination Departments

External:
• Occasional contact with logistics partners, vendors, or customers (as per instruction)

Requirements

Education:
• Diploma in Packaging, Commercial Graduate, or equivalent qualification

Experience:
• 5 to 7 years in a packaging production environment with a focus on packing and dispatch operations

Core Competencies:
• Sound knowledge of packing standards, ISO/BRC compliance, and SOPs
• Experience with various packaging materials and dispatch procedures
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Effective communicator with good problem-solving ability
