Commercial Truck Driver

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Truck Driver to join their logistics team. This role is primarily responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a valid professional driving permit, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to road safety regulations. You will be operating heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring loads are properly secured, and maintaining detailed logs of driving hours and delivery schedules. Key responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly, and adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This position requires physical stamina for loading and unloading cargo, as well as the ability to work independently for extended periods. Responsibilities:
Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes. Transport goods and materials to various destinations according to schedule. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded properly and safely. Maintain accurate driving logs, mileage records, and delivery confirmations. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to management. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members. Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Qualifications:
Valid Code 14 driver's license. Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP). Clean driving record. Proven experience as a commercial truck driver. Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating vehicle equipment. Strong sense of responsibility and reliability. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools.
