• Grade 12
• Full N2 certificate with relevant trade theory
• Welding certificate

Skills Requirements
• 1 year’s relevant plant experience in a heavy industry environment
• Pendant crane and Forklift license will be an added advantage
• Good communication skills
• Able to work under pressure, Initiative
• Knowledge of the HSEC system

JOB OBJECTIVES
In this role you will be reporting
to the Artisan Coordinator for the following:
• Carry out a variety of tasks related to mechanical maintenance and casing welding
• Adhere to safety, environment, quality, and housekeeping standards
• Comply with all regulations and procedures
• Maintain plant availability and operational stability in accordance with required standards
• Planned maintenance and shutdowns
• Hoist Electrode Casings to Casing Floor
• Lifting and Lowering of Casings for Installation
• Welding and Grinding of Casings
• Quality Inspections and Sign-off on Casings after Installation
• Maintain Casing Critical Stock
• Good Housekeeping on Furnace Casing and Ground Floor
• Ensure Casing Support Rings delivered on time to Stores
• Reporting and Recording of Casing Information
• Reporting of unsafe conditions and damaged equipment
• Overtime will be worked when so required
• Shift work can be expected during shutdowns
• Standby work will be worked when required
