Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Cleaner with a specialization in Hospitality and Events. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in demanding environments. You will be responsible for ensuring that event venues, hotels, and associated facilities are impeccably clean and presentable before, during, and after events. This position is based in **Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA**, and involves working flexible hours, often including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to accommodate event schedules. The ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient, and understand the unique cleaning requirements of the hospitality and events industry.

Key Responsibilities: Perform thorough cleaning duties across various hospitality and event venues, including function halls, guest rooms, lobbies, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Adhere to strict cleaning schedules and ensure all areas meet our client's high standards of hygiene and presentation. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including buffers, carpet cleaners, and industrial vacuum cleaners. Manage cleaning supplies and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Handle the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with established procedures. Deep clean assigned areas as per specific event requirements or periodic schedules. Ensure safety protocols are followed, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents. Respond promptly to cleaning requests during events or operational hours. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on client premises. Work collaboratively with event staff, venue managers, and other cleaning team members. Identify and report any maintenance issues or hazards observed within the premises. Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces related to cleaning logistics.
