Our client, a leading provider of supply chain solutions, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee their facility. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods, from receipt and storage to order fulfillment and dispatch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics operations, with a proven ability to optimize processes, reduce costs, and maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy. You will lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, implement best practices in safety and operational procedures, and manage key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement. This position requires excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including space utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor management.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping. Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and space utilization. Manage and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback. Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, implementing and enforcing safety protocols. Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent cycle counting and regular stock takes. Implement and manage efficient inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Oversee the operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems. Collaborate with transportation and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipping rates, inventory accuracy, and operational costs, implementing corrective actions as needed. Manage operational budgets and control expenses effectively. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking out opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations. Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse management and logistics operations. Demonstrated experience in managing large warehouse facilities and diverse teams. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP systems. Proven ability to optimize warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience with Lean principles or Six Sigma is a plus. This role requires your presence at our facility in **Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA**, where you will directly manage and improve our warehouse operations.
