Job Description

Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler at Frazer reports to the Distribution Supervisor, and is responsible for providing Support to the Distribution Department. Works in the warehouses and other distribution points. Frequently pulls products/materials to where they are needed most, whether that be from the warehouse to the production areas or from storage areas to shipment points for delivery to internal and/or external customers.
This position is expected to actively live out Frazer Core Values while working with Frazer employees, vendors, and customers to help achieve team, department, and corporate goals. Responsible for learning and reinforcing safe and proper work procedures while actively following Frazer Safety programs and other policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Material Handler Look Like?
• Locate materials in the warehouse for orders/requisitions.
• Use warehouse software to issue out materials from the warehouse.
• Ensure on-hand quantities in system matches warehouse inventory location.
• Submit/Issue out material from warehouse inventory in the system before the material is delivered.
• Deliver all materials issued out of inventory to production work centers by the end of the shift.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts.
• Manage material handling supplies and submit purchase order requests for bags, labels, packing tape, etc.
• Maintain KanBan inventories for production work centers.
• Print job order labels and ensure every item is labeled according to the job they are issued out of inventory to.
• Assist production teams with material returns, exchanges, and urgent job orders.
• Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Abides by company handbook policies, department standard work processes, and standard work instructions.
• Work with purchasing department to track and update production of ETA's for out of stock materials.
• Assist with special projects (e.g. gathering and organizing information, stock movement, storage movement, lean manufacturing improvements, etc.).

1 year experience material handling in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks without close supervision.
• Ability to use good judgment and discretion with sensitive, confidential issues and projects.
• Ability to understand and use technical and associate resources available through the company to gather information and facilitate completion of projects.
• Ability to understand semi-complex administrative procedures and work independently to meet established deadlines in a timely manner.
• Must be able to operate pallet jack, product picker and forklift after completion of company training programs.

Forklift experience and previous material handling in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred, minimum 1 year experience.

Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.
The Material Handler will work Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
