Packaging Specialist

Position Summary

Ensures all products are properly palletized, wrapped, and prepared for shipping utilizing PaceJet and RF Smart.

Essential Functions / Primary Responsibilities
• Pull and process orders according to the sales order and production docket.
• Packs product to meet shipping requirements.
• Reviews order instructions and handle, label, and package bundles to specific requirements utilizing PaceJet.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Accountable for attendance, efficiency, and work quality.
• Stacking, band, and wrapping pallets for shipping.
• Weigh and record all non FTL orders
• Scan all items per skid into PaceJet.
• Other tasks as requested.
• Ensures compliance to quality, 6S, and OSHA programs; assures conformity to all company and customer.

Working Conditions / Environment

Works primarily in a warehouse environment where the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 75 lbs. regularly, walk, reach, grasp and bend while moving about their workstation and facility. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors or dust. All required PPE must be worn at all times while in the warehouse environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualification Requirements
• 1-3 years packaging experience preferred
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer, reading, and math skills required.
