Flex Security Officer - 24 / 7 Availability - Not Part Time

United Protective Services is seeking dependable and professional Flex/Floater Security Officers to join our growing team. Floater Officers are responsible for covering open shifts due to call-offs, vacations, special events, or additional coverage needs. This position is critical to overall operations and ensuring the safety and protection of our clients, tenants, staff, and visitors.

This role requires maximum flexibility. Candidates must have true open availability and be willing to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight assignments as needed.

MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 25 years of age
• Valid driver’s license (required for golf cart patrols)
• No visible hand, neck, or face tattoos
• Professional appearance in compliance with company grooming standards
• Open availability across all required coverage hours

Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol premises regularly to maintain a strong and visible security presence
• Monitor and control access points, authorizing entry and exit of individuals and vehicles
• Lock and secure doors, windows, and building access points after operational hours
• Investigate and report suspicious activity or individuals on property
• Respond promptly to alarms and assess security situations appropriately
• Provide professional assistance to staff, tenants, and visitors
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and daily activity logs

• Prior security experience or experience in a related field preferred
• Working knowledge of security procedures and public safety standards
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
• Experience with report writing and documentation
• Physically capable of extended foot patrols and golf cart patrols
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule Requirements (OPEN AVAILABILITY REQUIRED):

This position requires full open availability. Candidates must be available to work:
• Available 24 / 7
• Weekends and holidays.

This is not a fixed schedule position or a part time position. Flex Officers must be prepared to adjust to operational needs and provide coverage wherever assigned.
