Restaurant: Republic Texas Tavern

Location: North Dallas, TX

Reports To: General Manager
About Republic Texas Tavern

Republic Texas Tavern is a bar-centric, upscale casual restaurant located in the heart of North Dallas. Our modern space is designed around a central U-shaped bar where we craft unique cocktails and boast a world-class whiskey list featuring over 150 offerings. We offer chef-driven American cuisine with a "Texas Twist," serving lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday and an exceptional Sunday brunch. Our atmosphere is vibrant, warm, and approachable, designed for everything from casual gatherings to private corporate events.
Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Front of House Manager to lead our service team and oversee the day-to-day guest experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest receives the genuine hospitality and high-quality service Republic is known for. In addition to traditional management duties, this role has a heavy emphasis on bar management and front-of-house personnel scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
• Bar Management: Oversee all bar operations, including maintaining our extensive whiskey and bourbon program. This includes monitoring beverage cost controls, managing bar staff, and ensuring the cocktail program meets our high standards.
• Scheduling: Responsible for creating and managing all FOH shift schedules (servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers) to ensure optimal staffing levels for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor FOH staff to uphold Republic's service standards. You will lead by example, coaching staff during fast-paced shifts to ensure a seamless experience between the front and back of the house.
• Guest Experience: Act as a primary floor leader, "touching tables" to build guest relationships and handle any customer concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Operational Excellence: Supervise daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and balancing drawers. Ensure the dining room, patio, and bar areas are consistently clean, organized, and meet all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Event Support: Coordinate with the management team to help execute private and semi-private events for groups ranging from 15 to 130 guests.
Position Expectations
• Schedule: Approximately 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and Sunday brunch service.
• Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
• Environment: Must thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, upscale casual environment.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an FOH Manager or lead role in a full-service restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of beverage operations, particularly spirits and craft cocktails.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems (experience with scheduling platforms like 7shifts is a plus).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
