Purpose of the Position
The Cocktail Server is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. This role focuses on creating an engaging guest experience by taking drink and food orders, delivering items promptly, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. The Cocktail Server is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the General Manager and indirectly to other members of the management team.

Essential Job Functions
• Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service.
• Take accurate beverage and food orders while making recommendations based on guest preferences and menu knowledge.
• Deliver drinks and food items to tables and bar seats with correct placement and timing.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu and bar items to confidently answer guest inquiries.
• Follow all alcohol service laws and company policies regarding responsible beverage service.
• Ensure accurate transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain clean and organized service stations, including stocking glassware, garnishes, and condiments.
• Assist with bussing and cleaning tables as needed to support the team.
• Collaborate closely with bartenders and other FOH staff to ensure seamless service.
• Handle guest concerns in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, and preparing stations. Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age (or the legal minimum age to serve alcohol in the state).
• Valid RBS/Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Current Food Handler Safety Training Card.
• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies, and repetitive hand and wrist motion; working with and around hot, cold, and hazardous equipment in a fast paced and congested environment that will occasionally be loud, hot, and/or physically demanding.
