Job Description
Purpose/Scope:

To provide general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a welding for precast panels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
β€’ Completes general construction labor tasks necessary to caulk precast concrete panels
β€’ Takes work direction from welding crew foreperson
β€’ May perform work of a miscellaneous nature as directed by foreperson
β€’ Uses materials/supplies in an efficient manner
β€’ Handles equipment in a responsible manner
β€’ Follows established safety procedures and policies

Basic Qualifications:
β€’ 3G & 4G Certified Welder
β€’ AWS Certification

Other Required Qualifications:
β€’ Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions
β€’ Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
β€’ Ability to work from ladders and aerial work platforms above 20 ft
β€’ Ability to obtain membership to local Laborers union
β€’ General knowledge of construction practices
β€’ Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
β€’ Ability to travel extensively (50% of the time or more, including overnights) and work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
β€’ 2+ years of construction or manual labor experience
β€’ High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:
β€’ Field: Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer

Work Environment:
β€’ Field: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles
