Job Description
Job S ummary

The Welder Non-Certified position will perform diversified hand welding on a wide variety of complex assemblies and structures using welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machined parts and trenching and shoring equipment . This position is a safety sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job . Plans details of working procedure, and tool and material requirements.
• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded . Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
• Repairs worn or defective surfaces.
• Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• May be assigned to dismantle or cut up obsolete equipment, setting aside parts for scrap dealers .
• Completes other tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
• Must sign acknowledgment of reading and understanding the Company’s safety policy and adhere to all Company safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills
• Must have the ability to lift up to 5 0 pounds.
• Must be willing to work hours as required .
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or completion of Company training program to the satisfaction of the Supervisor.

Qualifications
• Minimum (1) one-year welding experience
• Ability to obtain forklift certification as required
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
