DESCRIPTION

The Pick and Pack Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate fulfillment of a daily inflow of product orders. The Pick and Pack Associate will utilize order sheets via computer software to pick a wide variety of wound care and skin care products, pack them, and prepare them for shipment.
Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
β€’ Assemble boxes.
β€’ Bundle products into packs.
β€’ Pull and packs product based on daily orders.
β€’ Verify quantity and item codes before shipment.
β€’ Generate shipping labels using software.
β€’ Ensure correct shipping information is inserted/attached.
β€’ Seal and tag containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets to confirm.
β€’ Move completed orders to shipping area.
β€’ Receive incoming freight and store materials in the appropriate areas.
β€’ Operate a forklift to load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
β€’ Utilize a continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
β€’ Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices.
β€’ Maintain an organized, clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
β€’ Assist with replenishing stock, taking inventory, and reporting shortages.
β€’ Perform other duties as assigned.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
β€’ High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
β€’ 1 year or more experience in picking and packing
β€’ Excellent verbal communication skills
β€’ Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people
β€’ Proficient with using tools required for this position
β€’ Physically agile and dexterous
β€’ Proficient organizational skills
β€’ Ability to meet specifics of customer orders in an accurate and timely manner
β€’ Good computer skills
β€’ Experience with shipping software preferred

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to use the following tools and equipment.

Ability to utilize a computer, office phone, printer, scanner, copy machine, tape gun, label gun, bag sealer, cart, and dolly.

If the employee is properly trained and certified, they may also be assigned to use a forklift.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements listed in this section include, but are not limited, to the motor/physical abilities and skills require of position in order to successfully undertake the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.

While undertaking the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, the employee must be able to stand for at least 8 hours a day, reach, bend, twist, squat, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., load and push boxes on a cart or dolly, read, listen, speak, type, and move throughout the facility. They must be capable of operating computer equipment and using a keyboard and mouse/mouse pad.
