Job Description
Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices nationwide. We partner with businesses and jobseekers to place qualified individuals efficiently. Currently, CTS is looking for Pipe Welders in Newport News, VA.
• *$180/day per diem available for qualified candidates**

Job Description:
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, and inconel using TIG in 6G and 6GR positions.
• Heat oxygen/propane heating torch.
• Perform grinding and pick up work as needed.
• Properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and six-inch scale.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of naval or industrial pipe welding experience.
• Successfully complete testing requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations and be committed to safety.
• Pass drug test and background check.
• Comfortable with heights and in confined spaces.
• Lift 50lbs without assistance.
• Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification or be willing to learn.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
