Job Description
Cineopera is looking for a Bar Lead to join our opening team! Cineopera is a Naples-inspired concept situated on an idyllic rooftop in the Arts District of Los Angeles. It houses a fast-casual restaurant, bottle shop, café, and bar, with plenty of space to gather and relax. The al fresco cinema anchors it all, showing landmark films, soccer games, and special screenings.

Open Friday - Sunday availability required, full availability preferred. All Bar Leads will start as part-time with opportunity for full-time based on availability, performance, and business needs.

Responsibilities:
• Lead daily bar operations while maintaining a high standard of hospitality, professionalism, and service execution.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of all beverage offerings, ingredients, and seasonal menu updates.
• Assist with bar menu development, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation standards.
• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable guest service while creating a welcoming bar atmosphere.
• Train, mentor, and support bar staff on service standards, beverage preparation, and responsible alcohol service.
• Monitor bar cleanliness, organization, and sanitation to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain proper inventory levels, assist with ordering, and communicate product needs or shortages to management.
• Accurately handle cash, tabs, and POS transactions while ensuring accountability and efficiency.
• Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with all local and state regulations.
• Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to support smooth daily operations and overall guest experience.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including prep, stocking, and end-of-night reconciliation tasks.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service and handle complaints professionally.
• Answer guest questions regarding food & beverage menu items, ingredients, and offerings.
• Maintain strong knowledge of all food & beverage menu items, including allergens and dietary considerations.
• Support overall front-of-house operations and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Qualifications:
• Valid food handler certificate preferred.
• RBS certificate required.
• General allergen knowledge required.
• Strong liquor and/or wine knowledge required.
• Experience working in an upscale casual and high volume restaurant as a bartender or bar lead preferred.
• Be comfortable with repetitive motions such as walking, bending and standing during your scheduled shift.
• Be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

Compensation:
• $17.87 hourly rate.
• This position is included in a full-house tip pool.
