Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Perform sanitary TIG welding on stainless steel tubing and piping (primarily 304/316)
• Execute autogenous (fusion) welds and welds with filler metal as required
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including purge systems
• Ensure proper argon purge to maintain weld integrity and cleanliness
• Read and interpret isometric drawings and blueprints
• Maintain strict adherence to sanitary and hygienic welding standards
• Inspect welds for quality, ensuring compliance with industry codes and client specifications
• Assist with fit-up, layout, and assembly of piping systems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications
• Proven experience with sanitary TIG welding in industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of stainless steel welding (304/316)
• Experience with high-purity piping systems
• Ability to pass a sanitary weld test (e.g., open root, purge, visual inspection)
• Skilled in reading blueprints and weld symbols
• Familiarity with GMP environments is a plus
• Own basic welding tools and PPE

Preferred Experience
• Background in food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or dairy processing
• Experience with orbital welding (a plus, not required)
• Previous contract or project-based work

Work Environment
• Industrial and/or production facilities
• May require extended periods of standing, bending, and working in tight spaces
• PPE required at all times
