As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Assignment in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this dynamic role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and represent a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and/or other assigned access points, verify authorized access as directed, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support daily property operations by assisting with directions, reporting maintenance or life emergency issues observed during rounds, and communicating professionally with tenants, visitors, and/or vendors.

Minimum Requirements:
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
