The Ministry of Labour and Social Security sets the 2026 gross minimum wage at 25,500 TRY per month for all occupations including welders, effective 1 January 2026, with net pay after deductions at 21,800 TRY. Overtime for welders must be paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate of 145 TRY.

Foreign welders must obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security before starting employment, submitting a valid passport, residence permit application, and employer contract by 31 December 2025 for 2026 validity. The permit fee is 1,200 TRY for the first year.

İŞKUR lists welder positions requiring a secondary school diploma plus a valid MIG/MAG or TIG certificate issued by the Vocational Qualifications Authority, with at least 2 years documented experience verified by 15 March 2026. Applicants without the certificate are ineligible for registered vacancies.

Applicants register on İŞKUR with national ID, diploma, welder qualification certificate, and health report dated after 1 January 2026; the online form must be completed with employer reference number before the 15th of each month. Incomplete submissions are rejected within 5 business days.
