As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, the minimum wage for electricians in Turkey is 24,500 Turkish Lira per month as of 1 January 2026 for a 45-hour workweek. Overtime must be paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 45 hours. This applies to all registered private sector roles with no exceptions for entry-level positions.

As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, electricians receive 14 days of paid annual leave after completing one full year of employment in 2026. This increases to 20 days after five years and 26 days after fifteen years. Leave must be used within the calendar year or compensated if unused.

As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, electricians must hold a valid Elektrik İç Tesisatçı Yetki Belgesi issued by the ministry or authorized provincial directorates as of 2026. The certificate requires completion of a 120-hour approved training course and passing an exam. Without this license, employment in licensed electrical work is prohibited.

As per the Gelir İdaresi Başkanlığı, electricians earning 30,000 TRY monthly in 2026 pay 15% income tax on the first 158,000 TRY annual income bracket. Additional brackets apply above that threshold at 20% and 27%. Monthly withholding is calculated and deducted by the employer before payment.
