Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide a professional, efficient, and approachable security service and access control duties

2. Maintaining high level of security as sensitive site

3. Carry out internal and external patrols, day and night to ensure a safe and secure Environment, recording maintenance issues, potential breaches of security or unusual occurrences in the ‘Daily occurrence book’.

4. Conduct on daily basis access control for visitors and suppliers in accordance to the Jewish community centre SOP’s

5. Provide support in an emergency or evacuation situation

6. As part of the team undertake regular security drills, testing of fire alarms and other security equipment, completing the appropriate logs, and notifying the Security advisor of any issues of malfunctioning equipment.

7. Monitor and respond immediately to alarm system activations per the written policy

8. Ensure that the community centre CCTV system is professionally, effectively and sensitively monitored

9. Conduct individual bag, property and vehicle screening when require

10. Comply with the community Fire, Health and Safety, and Security policies and procedures.

11. Undertake first aid training and provide first aid services to staff, visitors

12. Assist in the introduction and training of new members of the team.

13. Deal with any suspicious packages or people, maintaining own and others safety and dealing with these in accordance with community centre procedures.

14. Report any incidents

15. Support the Jewish community in events and high holiday as required

16. Actively maintain the confidentiality of information related to the community

17. Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by the community

Working Hours and Schedule:

• 6 working days per week, 7am to 7pm (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break).

• One rest day per week, assigned by Head of Security

• Required to be on duty for events, as and when required.

Requirements

1. Excellent general health with a good level of physical fitness.

2. Must pass a quarterly physical test comprising the following, to be completed consecutively:

· 3000 meters run in under 15 minutes

· 300 meters sprint in under 60 seconds

· Minimum of 20 push-ups

· Plank held for at least 90 seconds

3. Possess a valid first aid certificate

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, Outlook) and generally IT literate.

5. Fluent in English and Hebrew, with good knowledge of Jewish culture and customs.
