As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the minimum wage for Saudi nationals in private sector roles including packing jobs is 4000 SAR per month as of 2026 with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 8 hours daily. Non-Saudi workers in packing roles have no mandated minimum wage under current labor law.

Non-Saudi applicants for packing jobs must obtain a work visa through the Qiwa platform sponsored by a licensed employer with a valid Nitaqat rating, followed by a medical test and iqama issuance within 90 days of arrival as of 2026. The employer pays the 9600 SAR annual work permit fee.

Packing jobs require no formal education beyond basic literacy but demand at least 1 year of warehouse or factory experience for non-Saudis under HRSD guidelines effective 2026. Saudis receive priority under Nitaqat with no experience threshold for entry-level packing positions.

Applications for packing jobs require a valid passport, attested educational certificates if any, medical fitness report from an approved center, and a signed employment contract uploaded via Qiwa before visa stamping as of 2026. Criminal background clearance from the home country must be submitted within 30 days.
