Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety & Security Officer to drive a world-class safety culture within our fast-paced 3PL warehouse operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This critical role is responsible for the safety of all personnel, the secure handling of goods, and ensuring absolute compliance with local regulatory bodies, focusing specifically on warehousing and logistics hazards.

If you have a proven track record of implementing robust safety systems in a high-volume logistics environment in KSA, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance & System Management:

Ensure strict adherence to Saudi Arabian Labor Law, HRSD Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) standards, and Saudi Civil Defense regulations.

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies tailored to specific warehouse risks (e.g., Material Handling Equipment (MHE), racking, battery charging).

Maintain all required legal documentation (e.g., Civil Defense licenses, inspection records, MHE certifications).

Act as the primary liaison during government inspections (HRSD, Civil Defense) and prepare management reports.

Monitor and manage on-site security guards and contractor safety compliance.

2. Warehouse Hazard Control & Risk Assessment:

Conduct frequent inspections to identify risks specific to a logistics environment (e.g., MHE operation, pedestrian-vehicle interaction, racking damage, manual handling ergonomics).

Lead Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments (RA) for core warehouse activities (receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch).

Implement and enforce critical safety programs, including a robust Traffic Management Plan for safe pedestrian/MHE segregation, Permit to Work (PTW), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

3. Training & Safety Culture Promotion:

Develop and deliver site-specific safety inductions and engaging toolbox talks focused on warehousing hazards (forklift safety, safe lifting, emergency evacuation from racking aisles).

Champion a proactive safety culture where Near Miss reporting is actively encouraged and recognized.

Lead thorough investigations into all workplace incidents (MHE collisions, racking strikes, injuries) to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure the daily inspection and operational safety of MHE and storage racking systems.

Coordinate the maintenance and readiness of all safety and emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, spill kits, PPE).

Organize and execute emergency drills (e.g., fire drills) relevant to the warehouse layout.

Essential Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree or 3-year Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as a Safety Officer, with a strong preference for experience in a 3PL, Logistics, or Warehousing environment in Saudi Arabia.

Mandatory Knowledge: Proven, practical knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, HRSD, and Civil Defense regulations is essential.

Certifications (Highly Preferred): Professional international certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or OSHA 30-Hour.

Core Skills: Excellent communication, proactive problem-solving, and a deep commitment to compliance excellence.

Preferred Experience

Experience or knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, SFDA requirements) is a significant advantage.

Language: Fluency in both Arabic & English (spoken & written).
