As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum wage for cleaning staff in Kuwait is 120 KWD per month as of January 2026 for private sector contracts. Overtime must be paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day.

As per the Public Authority for Manpower, cleaning staff must obtain a work permit under Article 18 of the Labor Law before arrival, with employer sponsorship required. The visa fee is 10 KWD and the permit must be renewed annually by 31 December.
