Responsibilities:
Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Pull, run, and connect electrical wires and cables according to specifications. Install and connect lighting fixtures, power outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical devices. Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, identifying faults and malfunctions. Learn and apply safety procedures and regulations related to electrical work, including lockout/tagout procedures. Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored. Participate actively in training sessions, workshops, and relevant courses to build technical knowledge and practical skills. Develop proficiency in conduit bending, wire pulling, and termination techniques. Understand and adhere to building codes and electrical standards. Provide support in performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Strong aptitude for mechanical and electrical work. Good physical condition, able to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions. Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced electricians. Basic understanding of tools and construction environments is a plus.
