Job Description
Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including kitchen and mechanical room items.
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for functionality.
Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radios) as required for maintenance tasks.
Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
Communicate daily activities and issues to the next shift using approved communication methods.
Acquire knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related areas.
Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb, and A/C filter replacement.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items.
Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks.
Use the Lockout/Tagout system for safety before performing maintenance work.
Perform repairs on landscaping and external sprinklers.
Display basic computer skills (input air handler schedules, make temperature changes).
Follow company safety and security policies; report hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety certifications.
Maintain clean and skilled uniform and personal appearance.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and show genuine appreciation.
Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
Develop positive working relationships with team members to reach common goals.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance.
Perform physical tasks such as moving up and down stairs, ramps, and ladders, and bending, twisting, or stooping.
Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Some experience in general maintenance, painting, surface preparation.
Experience in hotel engineering/maintenance is a plus.
