Job Description
Plumbing Engineering

They handle systems such as:
• Water supply (hot & cold water)
• Drainage and sewage systems
• Stormwater systems
• Gas piping
• Sanitary fixtures (toilets, sinks, etc.)

Fire Protection Engineering
They design systems to prevent, control, and fight fires, including:
• Fire sprinkler systems

Fire hydrant and hose reel systems
• Fire pumps and water storage tanks
• Fire alarms and suppression systems
• Compliance with fire codes and safety regulations

Combined Role
When combined, the engineer:
• Integrates plumbing and fire systems into building designs
• Ensures systems meet local building codes and fire safety standards
• Coordinates with architects, electrical, and mechanical engineers
• Oversees installation, testing, and commissioning
• Helps ensure occupant safety and property protection
