Job Description Summary
Candidate shall be highly skilled professional responsible for performing complex welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal components of tubes and ducts of commercial jet engines, typically achieving high-quality standards with >95% FPY using TIG welding process.

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Welding of tubes, air manifolds and sheet metal parts.
• Welding of stainless steel, Inconel material.
• Repair of defective stainless steel and Inconel castings.
• Welding and fabrication by using TIG and Orbital welding processes.
• Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret drawings, manuals, SOP, MOS and other material to determine finish product.
• Assembly of welded products.
• Shall have multiskilling of welding and fabrication of all parts in the cell
• Shall have familiar with problem solving tools 5Why, Fishbone and know how’s of RCA
• Shall have ability to train others welders
• Highest Levels of Personal Integrity and Safety Mindset.
• Experience in engineering industry – with firsthand experience of fabrication of tubes and ducts of aircraft engines.
• Knowledge in welding machines usage and their accessories like welding positioners, Bevellers, Rollers, 3D welding tables, etc.

Ideal Candidate:

Candidate with 3+ years of experience in TIG and orbital welding on stainless steel and Inconel tubes/ducts for aircraft engines.

Required Qualifications:
• Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Welding, or equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication in an engineering/manufacturing setup.
• Proven experience in TIG and orbital welding of stainless steel and Inconel tubes, ducts, and sheet metal parts.
• Shall be certified in welding process as per AWS D17.1 in 6G position with II A & III B materials.
• Shall have experience to produce X ray quality Class A weld joints, with SS 321 & Inconel 625 material.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in welding technique.
• Experience in aviation industry.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
• Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology
